About Us
Welcome to Vani Matriculation School
An eminent educationist and philanthropist conceived the idea of establishing a school in Madambakkam area. Most children have to travel as far as two kilometers to East Tambaram for schooling and depend on bus or rickshows for transport. Thus this school is a boon to pupils and their parents.
An Advisory Council of very highly qualified, experienced and well meaning persons was constituted and the Vani Matriculation School was established. The Bhoomo Pooja for the building was performed on 7th March 1998. The name board of the school was also put up at the permises and a few banners were displayed at prominent places to give a wide publicity to the school. Printed pamphlets were distributed. A permanent building was dedicated on 02.10.1998.
The School Emblem, resting on the pedestal "Knowledge is power" conveys deep meaning. The Sun on one side is the source of all energy and the visible univeral supernatural power. The beautiful fragrant Lotus on the other side sysmbolises the youth that will blossom from the school. The Lamp is symbol of enlightment and the Book is the tool of Knowledge. The name Vani itself relates to the Goddness of Learning. The motto of the school is "Be Good-Be Kind".
The aim of the school is to develop the character and total personality of each pupil through various curricular, extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. Its objective is to develop in young students keen sense of discipline, responsibility, initiative, self-reliance, dedication integrity and loyality.
The School has been functioning from the academic year 1998-1999, initially with classes from Kindergarden to Std. X. Good, airy, cool, calm accommodation with all amenities and facilities are provided in the newly constructed buildins. There is sufficient playground space in front of the classrooms. The recognition of the Government of Tamil Nadu has been obtained and higher classes have been started from that academic session.

Fees, Scholarships, Uniforms, Books, Etc., ▼
No donation is being collected by the school, The fee structure is moderate so that it will be no burden to parents. Special concession will be shown to the economically backward and physically handicapped students. Fee reduction will be given in the case of second or third child of the same parents. Monthly prizes and incentives will be provided for pupils. Scholarships will be awarded to deserving students.
Application for admission must be made in the prescribed form which costs Rs.500/-. Registration fee on admission is Rs-2500/-.
Books and Notebooks will be provided by the school. Cost will be informed at the earliest and payment will have to be made by the stipulated date to ensure easy procurement.
Hair ▼
Boys hair should be well trimmed and neatly combed.
Girls must keep their long hair neatly plaited and tied with black ribbon.

Thiru . P. Thangaswamy has created an endowment of Rs . 1,00,000 / - for the award of pries annually to the best two students selected by the Principal.
Book Load to Children ▼
Students are advised to bring books and notes as per the timetable , Composition notes , Exercise books and Drawing books are kept in the class room . Regular check up of students bags are also done . Display of cartoons and pictures on notice boards , guide the students to reduce the book load to school .
Python and SQL Projector Class ▼
In our School we are conducting PYTHON and SQL classes from Std VI to IX for free of cost.
PYTHON is an independent object oriented high level programming language. It reduces maintenance cost. It is easy to write and read. PYTHON is also the fastest growing programming language in the world. It is the opportunity to learn about PYTHON and SQL ( Structured Query Language ) in the projector computer class.
We observed demo program , it was useful to ourselves in many ways. This course helped us gain insight in PYTHON especially in functions modules etc.. The Project and Assignment were very good standard.
Uniform ▼
Uniform will have to be provided by the School. All children must attend school in proper uniform.
L.K.G., U.K.G., 1 STD TO V STD :
ForBoys : Peacock Blue Half pant and Light blue with White Stripe half - sleeved shirt. ForGirls : Peacock Blue Pinafore and Light Blue with white Stripe Shirt. The length of the pinafore should 1" below the knees.
VI STD TO X STD:
ForBoys : Peacock Blue pant and Light Blue with White Stripe Half - Sleeved shirt.
ForGirls : Peacock Blue Salwar with Peacock Blue Over Coat and Half-Sleeved Kurta.
Everyone must wear White Shoes, White Socks. White and White Uniform will have to be worn one day in the week for P.T. and drill or for occasions like Independence Day, Republic Day, School Day etc.

8.50 a.m. to.2.30 p.m. for K.G.
8.50 a.m. to 3.50 p.m. for others
Everyone must be in the Assembly by 8.50 a.m. The main Gate will be closed at 8.50 a.m.
Parents must ensure that children are escorted by reliable persons while coming to school or while returning from school.
Health Care ▼
Our Principal takes keen interest in students Health care. Diptheria prevention injection , Albendazole Tablets were given to students supported by Madambakkam Town Panchayat Health Centre . He used to advice students in the morning school assembly about balanced nutritional diet and physical exercise.
Water Bell ▼
Water Drinking Time is introduced twice a day in the school , Fore Noon 11.05A.M and Afternoon 2.35 P.M.
A Special School Bell will ring at 11.05 A.M and Afternoon at 2.35 P.M
A Special School Bell will ring at 11.05 A.M and Afternoon at 2.35 P.M Teachers will direct the students to drink water during these timings and not to allow them to take water during the class periods. This gives energy and freshness to the students.
